The 16th edition of Montreux Noël will feature:

5 different spaces - 5 different atmospheres

a unique concept in Europe

The Christmas Market:
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, it is the most beautiful Christmas Market
with its 150 artisans and merchants. Gift ideas by the thousands, chalets decorated and
illuminated in the grand tradition of Christmas. Warm and friendly atmospheres and exceptional
musical entertainment. Tastings of local specialities and of our gest of honour in a warm and
friendly atmosphere.

Christmas village in Caux:       NEW !
For its 16th edition and for the second consecutive year, Montreux Noël will feature an additional
exceptional site.
The organisers have dreamed up a special treat for this year’s visitors, a Christmas village
in the mountains, in the village of Caux above Montreux. Families and children will enjoy seeing the
reindeer park, numerous other animals as well as a giant nativity scene. Games for children and play areas
are located on an esplanade with a glorious panoramic view of Lake Geneva and the Alps. Entertainment and light refreshments will be available.

A special guest of honour:
Russia will be the guest of honour for 2010.
The discovery of typical Russian crafts, cuisine and culture awaits you in the
numerous chalets on the Place du Marché. There will also be a restaurant where you can savour
Russian specialities. Various types of entertainment are planned to delight visitors who love the rich
musical traditions of Russia.

Santa Claus House:
A visit to Santa Claus, in his house perched at the top of the Rochers de Naye above
Montreux at an altitude of 2042 metres, is an absolute must. For the seventh consecutive year,
his house and his office will be visited by thousands of children and will doubtless be a popular meeting place
for families between November 25 and December 24, 2010.

The Middle Ages at the Château de Chillon:
On weekends, the grounds of the Château de Chillon will be the setting for the 4th Montreux Noël Medieval
Market and Story Festival. Experience a return to days of yore, an unforgettable opportunity to go back
in time and explore the history, the customs and the daily life of the Middle Ages illustrated by people
in period costumes. The Story Festival will transport you into the fascinating world of tales of chilvary and
great stories of other eras.
