Every winter, Montreux lights up to welcome Riviera Noël, a Christmas market unique in Switzerland. But behind the magic of the lights and the chalets lies a strong commitment to the environment and the local community.

Montreux Noël is a member of the Swisstainable program with the Committed level, which means a concrete commitment to reducing its ecological impact and supporting local players.

Our key initiatives

Sorting and recycling: PET bottles, biodegradable tableware and reusable cups.
Eco-friendly decorations: ornaments in recycled PET and 100% LED lighting.
Local products: cheeses, wines and specialities from the Vaud and Fribourg regions.
Local cooking oil: produced and recycled less than 20 km away.
Solidarity: the associations' chalet welcomes local associations every week.

Montreux Noël proves that a festive market can also be responsible, supportive and rooted in the local community!
