Prepare my visit

  • For peace and quiet: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are ideal for a leisurely stroll.

  • For the hustle and bustle: Weekends are very busy. If you’re coming on a Saturday, it’s best to arrive in the morning to get around more easily.

  • Weather: The Market remains open even in rain or snow!

The train is the easiest solution (the station is 200m away). By car, follow the signs to the peripheral parking lots (P+R) and take advantage of the free shuttles at weekends.

The platforms are completely flat and accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM).

Access to the quays and street entertainment (such as the Flying Santa) is totally free. Only certain specific activities, such as Santa’s House or the Ferris Wheel, require a ticket.

Yes, absolutely. The platforms are flat, but due to the high volume of weekend afternoons, we advise you to use the mornings to get around more easily.

Yes, they’re welcome on a short leash. For their well-being, avoid crowded weekend periods.

The market is going “cashless” ! Payments are made by card or Twint.

  • Exceptions: cash is accepted only in restaurants and at the mulled wine stand New Bretzel.

  • Alternative Cash: if you only have cash, you can load a card with a QR code at the Info Point to pay for your purchases throughout the market.

  • Cards: All cards are accepted, except American Express.

Cups are returnable (2.00 CHF). To get your deposit back, simply return your cup to the designated stands to retrieve your deposit

Restaurants accept reservations for 8 people or more.

Yes, you’ll find plenty of vegetarian options (fondue, soups, etc.). For gluten-free options, don’t hesitate to ask for advice on site.

Yes, several facilities are available for your comfort:

  • Public toilets: Toilet blocks are located throughout the site.

  • Family areas: Changing tables are available in strategic sanitary areas to make changing babies easier.

  • Precise location: To find the nearest point to you, please consult our Interactive Map where all amenities are indicated.

Attractions & experiences

Don’t miss Santa Claus flying by every day at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 pm, with an additional flight at 4:00 pm on weekends.
