Yann Lamballée

Retour à l'agenda

Start: 21 November 2025 - 18:00

Location: Marché couvert

🎸 Yann Lamballée (born June 8, 1978) has been a singer-songwriter for over 20 years. Trained at the IMFP in Salon-de-Provence, he built up solid experience on stage with Red Led, Wish You Well and Gill Gabriel before launching his own projects.

He founded Yann S’entoure in 2001, then went on to create Custom, Little Short Stories (with The Novelties), and the collaborative project Sharing The Road, bringing together 25 musicians in aid of UNICEF.

After several solo EPs and collaborations, he co-created The Sunny Glades (folk-americana), then in 2025, his new electro project LĒEZ, whose first EP It Begins is currently being championed live.

Yann, born June 8, 1978, has been a songwriter for 20 years.

He began playing guitar for fun, but soon turned to writing. After trying his hand at a number of unsuitable jobs, he decided to make music his profession and joined the IMFP jazz school in Salon de Provence, where he stayed for 3 years.

At the same time, he played in the region’s bars, clubs and pubs as a singer with Red Led and as a guitarist/vocalist in several bands (Wish You Well & Gill Gabriel) with whom he cut his teeth on stage, became a professional and did a lot of touring!

In his spare time, he composes on his own or with the help of family and musician friends, and sets up his first composing project in 2001 under the name of Yann S’entoure, with whom he begins to play on Marseilles stages.

Over the years, Yann has put together several composing projects and produced several albums:
– “Custom” (6-track solo EP),
– “Little Short Stories” (with his band The Novelties, confirming his desire to work in a group and no longer be alone in composing, to share ideas and learn from others).

He decided to hit the Corsican roads with an artist with whom he shared the stage (while also taking care of the technical side) and discovered a totally different musical universe!

In February 2013, while watching the film Sound City (directed by Dave GROHL, whose career and incredible proliferation of ideas he admires), he decided to embark on a major project… The concept? Bring together some of the musicians he’s come into contact with over the past 20 years, mixing styles, cultures and ideas around the theme of compo…
Sharing The Road-STR’ was born!
Two weeks in an isolated house in the heart of the Ardèche, entirely refurbished as a recording studio, far from Marseille, in a different atmosphere, to create, together, an original album! This adventure, entirely filmed, is the starting point for a concert in aid of UNICEF and GLOBAL DIGNITY at Le Moulin in Marseille on December 5, 2014! 25 musicians, one album, one film, one concert!

At the end of 2015, he wrote and produced a rock EP on his own, influenced by the Foo Fighters band he’s a fan of!
8 powerful tracks!
An excellent outlet…

Another year-end for the “#1” EP, which only sees the light of day today in January 2020…!
Written in the wake of his separation from the mother of his children, Yann will write “#1” in just a few days…still devastated…a heartfelt, vicious album…
To be discovered right now!!!

At the end of 2019, Jean-Michel PEYROT proposed a new project he had set up with Virginie BES and Manuel JULVEZ: 444 façons de le Dire. The challenge (covering old French variété songs in a different way) appealed to him immediately!

the idea for 2020 is as follows:
Write everything that hasn’t been written yet!!!
And hit the road to perform on stage with his long-time sidekick Jérome Mouriez on percussion, and show off his world and all his songs…

Containment…

It’s going to be an incredible period for me in terms of creations and even long-distance contacts!

Videos, song creations…

The result is “The Sunny Glades”, a Folk-Americana project written by Julvez and myself!
Long-time friends Jérôme Mouriez on drums, Denis Frangulian on bass and the lovely Camille Papain on violin!

We’ll start with a few songs and finish with two EPs, a residency filmed and recorded in Marseille’s legendary Red Lion pub!

Concerts…

A great home studio mixing course !!!

Life goes on, and so does having to earn it…

But there have also been some wonderful re-encounters, like the one with Ilyes Yangui, smiles, compositions and concerts…!!!
Life in a nutshell!

2024 I finish an album dating from the separation with the mother of my daughters, “Eleven in two”, a visceral album, written just after this break-up, with rough, harsh…melancholy lyrics.
It took me 8 years to decide and accept to finally finish it.

2025, we relaunch with Jérôme Mouriez and our Electro project, which in a few days becomes LĒEZ and our first EP is released in the process.
“It begins” which we are currently defending on stage!

Stay tuned!
